The Smithy Croft self-catering cottage is situated in one of Scotland’s most glorious areas. Just 5 miles from Dufftown (The Whisky Capital) in the heart of Scotland’s Whisky Trail.
The cottage is suitable for 6 people and is surrounded by farmland with Ben Rinnes at the rear of the cottage. It is situated in its own grounds and affords magnificent views over the rolling hills of Glen Fiddich. Situated approximately half way between Inverness and Aberdeen it is therefore an ideal base to explore what the North East has to offer, whether it be distilleries, castles, golfing, fishing, walking, skiing, the beaches of the Moray Coast, the Cairngorms National Park or just relaxing and getting away from it all.
The ground floor comprises a utility room/boot changing area, bathroom with bath and power shower unit, kitchen, hall, single bedroom, comfortable lounge with open coal fire.
The cottage is heated throughout with oil fired central heating.
In the homely lounge there is a colour TV with DVD, video recorder, radio/cd player and assorted videos.
The well equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, large fridge, dishwasher, microwave, wooden dining table with 6 chairs.
The bathroom has w.c. bath, power shower unit, mirror and shaving point.
Utility room holds small chest freezer, slow cooker, steamer, washing machine also storage area for ironing board, iron, vac etc.
Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and a landing. One bedroom has a double bed, one with twin beds and the other a single bed.
Outside there is parking in the driveway for three cars. There is a vast area of grass at the side of the cottage and some at the front. Garden furniture is supplied for your convenience. Later this year at the front of the cottage there will be work undertaken to level the ground and seed more grass as well as enclosing the area so we apologise meantime for the untidy nature of this area.
