Whisky Nosing and Tasting 2005

First winner of the 2005 Nosing & Tasting Evenings was Heather, a lassie all the way from Wisconsin, U.S.A who was a real novice but with a good nose for malts. Seen here being presented with a bottle of Balvenie Founders Reserve by Ian Millar ~ manager of Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie.

Glenfiddich Evening

Winners of the second nosing who both went away with bottles of Glenfiddich 12 year old. A great evening with Denise from Glenfiddich doing her first presentation for the Whisky Nosing & Tasting Evenings.

7 Stills Competition

On the right Ian Millar presents another two lucky winners of the 7 Stills of Dufftown nosing competition ~ Maria Lundh and Solveig Gustafsson.

Best Blend Competition

On the left a family from the Nederlands ~ the Sjamaar's who won the best blend competition, being presented with a bottle each of William Grant's Family Reserve.

On the right the runners up team who were presented with nosing glasses.

Glenfarclas Night

Another very enjoyable evening was had at the Whisky Museum when Robert Ranson from Glenfarclas was the guest speaker. Seen here on the left presenting prizewinners with a bottle of Glenfarclas 105 Cask Strength Malt to Lene Holm Neilsen from Denmark and Loic Lelievre from France.
