Loch Park Adventure Centre
Set on the malt whisky trail between Keith and Dufftown in the picturesque Strathisla valley, Loch Park provides excellent facilities for anyone interested in outdoor pursuits. An on-site manager and qualified staff can be available by prior arrangement to help you enjoy various activities at your own pace including, canoeing, archery, gorge walking and also some of the best brown trout fishing in Scotland.
The self catering accommodation in the Swan Bunkhouse, a short distance away from the Adventure Centre, includes two rooms that sleep up to six people and two rooms for two people. Although the Bunkhouse is fully ramped and accessible to wheelchair users, one room is specifically adapted for people with disabilities and has an en-suite shower room and toilet. Also available is a fully equipped kitchen, sitting room with video player, laundry facilities and four single shower rooms. There is also a wet-gear drying room to keep post activity mess to a minimum.
Open all year you can enjoy some of the local attractions which include Lecht Ski Centre (25 miles), Glenfiddich Distillery (3 miles), Speyside Way (3 miles), Gordon Castle (9 miles), River Spey (5 miles) and Ben Rinnes (4 miles).
There is a fully accessible walk from the village, where the bunkhouse is situated, to Loch Park (2 miles) and a tourist train which runs at weekends during the summer from Dufftown to Drummuir.
The staff at Loch Park will support you to enjoy your break, however action-packed or leisurely. Bring your boots, bike and car as there are plenty of places at hand to use them.
